I created this piece moved by @jennmjacksonphd ‘s words at @redemmas a couple weeks ago. the frenzy of the cafe simmered and slowly the folding chairs filled with an intimate inter-generational group of black women. After collective breath-work, Jenn told stories of the black women who have delivered us to this moment and spoke of the joy and sisterhood and determination of these women. if the world is set on erasing their wholeness, it will be the black women who come after to reclaim them again and again.
