reminder: sprouting is a tiny slow movement
i wanted to share a moment of peace and joy in my Third Space. a Third Space is a place you can go outside of work and home, the two primary worlds we oscillate between.
it is often somewhere that energizes you, that grounds you, and holds you as you are. here you are free from the weight of imposed roles & daily responsibilities, you’re safe to not be ‘on’. and in that way, a Third Space serves as a portal to tender destinations: radical sense of self, collective effervescence, and dreamspace.
for some folx it’s a coffee shop or a body of water. sometimes it is not even a place at all— rather a ritual of transition in your day like a walk through your neighborhood before heading inside, or maybe a group of people so wrapped up in connection they forget where they are.
my community garden has been my Third Space, a place where the earth and i always seem to remember the rhythm of reciprocity no matter how long the winter has been, a place where we dance.
